1206 (City of Lichfield) Squadron is proudly based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, and boasts a vibrant community of Air Cadets, uniformed staff, and civilian volunteers. With a rich history, we celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2013.

As part of one of the largest youth organizations in the UK, we take immense pride in our Squadron. Our positive atmosphere, camaraderie, and sense of fun create a professional and fulfilling environment for all involved.

The RAF Air Cadets offers young people the chance to participate in exciting activities such as gliding, shooting, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, and more—all designed to boost confidence and prepare you for your future career after school, college, or university.

Each week, cadets aged 12 (Year 8) to 19, from diverse backgrounds, join in the wide range of activities offered by the RAF Air Cadets. Whether you live in Lichfield, the surrounding areas, or attend school here, we’d love to hear from you.

Who knows? Next weekend, you might find yourself flying, gliding, shooting, on an expedition, parachuting, playing sports, parading, or camping.
